Professor Merrythought walked down the long, spiraling Astronomy Tower stairs, she thought she might get out for a while, seeing as her lessons were during the evening, she might go and see the festive activites going on in and around the castle. She went out the exit doors at the bottom of the tower and into the grounds. She walked in the winter snow to the Black Lake, where she had heard a lot of activities were going on. As she trecked to the black lake, she brushed her fingers along the bristles of the fern tree's spinkled with white snow. She could see footprints where someone had walked before. Professor Merrythought was carrying her skates, it wasn't very often she bought these out, she wasn't quite sure why she bought them with her to Hogwarts.
As she approchaed the black lake, she did up the buttons on her night blue duffly coat, she was wearing pink ugg boots, that crunched the snow as she trekked. When she got to the black lake she took of her boots and placed them on the side of the ice. She put on her sktes and walked cautiosly to the centre, she saw the headmistress skating gracefully, Aurora just glided slowly enjoying the winters wind and the beautiful views of the mountains surrounding the castle.
