It was several days since the argument. He had thought about coming ever since, drunk or not.

Lupin slowly made his way through the ministry of Magic to the floor that saw to Magical Creatures to tell them what happened, while reporting Harriate.

His head was throbbing from lack of sleep, stress and drink.

Several small beeping sounds went off around her office and Piper glanced at the door ready for whoever was approaching.
She was head of the department for the control and disposal of magical creatures.
She pushed her paper work aside so they could not be viewed by the visitor.

There was a knock on the door and Remus Lupin stood in the door way to her office.
His mind was racing more now he was actually just outside the door, who they believe him, was it the right choice, his heart said it was the right thing to do, but his brain was trying to make him see sense., but he had already knocked

'Come in.' piper called pleasantly shifting slightly behind her desk.
This country was still pretty new to her so she wasn't yet sure how to deal with there problems. In America is was easy. Kill any creature who showed signs of turning Dark. Here it was slightly different.

He took a deep breath before entering the office. He closed the door after him and looked at her, before walking up to the desk. ".. I am sorry I have come here so late.. but I have been thinking this over for the last couple of days..." he paused before carrying on ".. I am a werewolf, my name is Remus John Lupin... on the full moon, after being unable to get the potion.. I attacked a student.. in the process.. biting them... but it wasn't till after I found out, she was a death eater.. I did try and take her back to the castle before the moon rose but she wasn't listening to me and it was too late.."

Tonks folded her arms an inquissitive frown forming a grim curve on her mouth.
Madeye had clued her in that he had seen Remus heading for the control of Magical creatures department, and she hoped if he was here it was for reasons completely different to what she was thinking.

Her long dark crimson auror robes swayed round her legs as her swift pace turned into a jog, her arms still folded.
When she got to the department she headed to Pipers desk and halted when she saw them talking. What was he up to? he shouldn't be here, it was too dangerous for him, espescially since Umbridge was high on power at the moment.

"Wotcher, Piper! and...what a suprise," she beamed, "Do you mind if I talk to Mr Lupin, I'll bring him back here I promise. Mr Lupin, come with me, please." she glanced at him, producing a stiff smile that warned him to even try objecting. "Now."

Remus looked down at her after getting taken out the office by Tonks "What are you doing? I need to get this sorted out.. its been eating me away inside for days.." he said glancing back into the office and back to Piper. He then looked back to Tonks. "You are a Auror, you should know I have to tell them if there is a incident.. specially if it concerns hurting a student.."

"I couldn't care less if it was eating away at your very skin, are you insane?" she hissed, trying to keep her voice down.
"I'm very aware of my job, Remus, as well as the law. They will kill you, and that's justice for biting someone? The girl was a deatheater, she was looking for trouble just being in a place where werewolves were. The Order suspects she was there espescially for you, to kill you, so now we can build a case on it, and present it like a normal sane person would! The odds against you may be large but even people like Umbridge have to follow rules. I dont want to hear anything about your consience, I am having you escorted out of the ministry, boss' orders." she unfolded her arms, a wand in her hand.

"Well it is too late.. I told her" He said not giving Tonks eye contact ".. and I am not insane either.. I didn't know she was a death eater till after.. she is a student too.. I shouldn't have been so close to the grounds.. anyone could have been there.." He didn't know what to do, he kept looking back to the office. He wondered if they would come after him or not, if he was to leave there and then, he didn't want to be cooped up at number 12 with everything else going on.

Tonks shook her head slightly, "Then I guess I'll need to clear things up with Piper."
Two aurors appeared beside Remus and she unfolded her arms, "Please escort Mr Lupin outside the building, he's arrived on the wrong day for his hearing. Suffering a little from hysteria I think." she nodded, never taking her eyes away from Remus before walking over to Piper.
"I'm sorry, Mr Lupin has made a mistake, the minister is currently making an overview of his case and he wasn't requested to be here until a desicion had been made. I'm afraid guilt got to him a little too badly," she smiled, "I'll fill in any statement needed..." she told Piper, smiling. She had to admit, ever since piper had come from America she did enjoy the young womans company.

When everything was sorted Tonks apparated and passed by Remus and the two Aurors. She paused for a moment, simply glaring at him, unfortunately her shift wasn't over yet, and Madeye had only let her go for this.
She waved her wand slightly and the keys to her apartment disappeared from her locker to his pocket. A small favour, she realised Grimmauld may be a little to bleak for him at the moment.

".. you shouldn't of done that Tonks.." he said frowning back at her "I know what I am doing." He looked away from her and around the darkened street wondering what he was going to do, he was still hurt from Pandora, the rejection.

He rubbed his eyes looking tired and worn. "I can do what I like.. I am old enough to make my own choices Tonks." he said more firmly "I will have a talk with her another time about it.. sooner or later they will know what happened..rather confess now that it to be worse later if they find out themselves.."

"Well, I can do what I want also, I'm an adult, and I'm an auror. Working at the ministry means influence over the ministry." she smirked, "and of course I had to do something, would it kill you to be a little more grateful. I don't want to see you get killed, none of your friends do. Piper knows what has happened now, good, thats all. It's done." she waved her hands in one abrupt movement.

"You'll have your trial like everyone else. You have a right to that, what's the point in throwing it away."
Tonks sighed and rubbed her forehead, "Look, go to my apartment, stay away from the drink" she added quickly.
"You are so lucky that Moody saw you when he did. You scared the hell out of me, Remus. If you even so much as think about going there before they ask you themselves, then I will write you up as delirious. Don't think i wont do whatever it takes,"
Tonks looked away and ran a hand through her hair. So far she was doing an ok job of keeping her emotions in check.
Suddenly she felt a little wary, she'd never let someone into apartment before, besides close friends and colleagues. She hoped she hadn't left anything out that shouldn't be out...."My place will probably be in a bit of tip, just so you know..."

She placed her wand in her pocket, the other one resting on his arm. "Do you need anything, shall I bring something back later?"

"..I don;t want to go to your appartment... yet anyway." he said looking down at her hand as she held on to his arm. ".. I need to tell Pandora what has happened..otherwise she might think I am dead." he rubbed his brow as it started to throb.

"Not too sure what the point of a trial will be... either they will just think I am mad.. thanks you you.. or they till take me away, " he still had the feeling being destroyed was the better choice as his heart still ached.

He took his wand from his pocket and looked back to Tonks for a moment before closing his eyes, taking them outside of Number 12.

Tonks removed her hand and stepped back as they apparated.
"Fine, go to pandora's, tell her you're alive. Or whatever it is you need to do, I'm going back to work."

She took her keys again, next time she wouldn't make the effort. "Doesn't matter if you see the point or not. It's a compulsary procedure in any sort of offence. Personally, I would say the claim of you being mad is pretty darn accurate,"

She folded her arms round her waist and turned away, "See you around."
After taking a few steps, she disappeared, planning on over time.
